Pumpkin Craft Fun – Part 2 Instructions
I totally spaced out getting the instructions up for our pumpkin craft fun that my daughter and I enjoyed in her church music class – and I’m sure you don’t want to miss how fun and simple this project is!
Supplies:
One (1) 12″ circle of fabric
Fishing string or hand-quilting thread
Fluff ‘n Stuff (like Polyfill)
Stick for stem, about 3″ in length and 1/2″ in circumference
Twigs for decoration
Pre-cut leaves for embellishments
One pipe cleaner, wrapped around a pencil to create a spiral
A few silk green vine leaves
Rafia
Hot Glue
Directions:
- Take your circle of fabric and using your fishing string or quilt thread and sew about 1/4″ all the way around the circle.
- Pull the thread to draw in the circle so you end up with about a 1″ opening for the stuffing.
- Pulling your fluffing apart into small sections, stuff them into the the circle you have created, shaping it as you go. It need not be too stiff or too loose – just fill your pumpkin to the weight and shape you desire.
- Once you have your pumpkin stuffed, stick the stem into the top hole.
- Next, using twigs, your spiraled pipe cleaner, the leaves and all of the embellishments except the rafia – add them around your stem, using hot glue to hold everything in place.
- Finally, wrap the rafia around the stem to cover up any hot glue residuals that may be showing.
Enjoy!
