High Noon Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Rust: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Yellow 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Rust: Cut TWO (2) 3 5/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Yellow 3 5/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help “frame” the center of this quilt block.)
- Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 3 7/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Rust 3 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also be the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block.)
- Yellow: Cut TWO (2) 3 5/8″ squares. On the back side of the squares draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Rust 3 5/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help “frame” the center of this quilt block.)
- Gold: Cut FOUR (4) 3 5/8″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles. These are paired with the results of the Rust
3 5/8″ squares & will help create a “frame” around the center of this quilt block.) - White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles per square. (These will flank TWO (2) sides of the Rust 3 7/8″ squares as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 4 3/4″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the Gold 3 5/8″ x 4 3/4″ rectangles. As well as the Rust & Yellow Half-Square Triangles. They’ll create a “frame” around this center square.)
