Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Pink: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the White
7 1/4″ squares. They’ll also help create the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. Then they’ll flank the Bright Pink 9″ square which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square.) - Bright Pink: Cut ONE (1) 9″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block. It’s flanked by the results of the Pink 7 1/4″ square. It’s also flanked by the results of the White 7 1/4″ square. All together it’ll create ONE (1) Square in a Square.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the Pink
7 1/4″ squares. They’ll also help create the FOUR (4) corners of this quilt block. Then they’ll flank the Bright Pink 9″ square which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square.)
