Mystery Flower Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Pink: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the results of Bright Green 5 1/4″ square & then with the results of the White 4 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Split-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Bright Green: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the Pink 5 1/4″ square & then with the results of the White 4 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Split-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut TWO (2) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the results of White
5 1/4″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Quarter-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block, as needed for this quilt block.) - White: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This will be the center of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the results of the Pink 5 1/4″ square & the Bright Green 5 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Split-Square Triangles.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 5 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You will end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are paired with the results of the Bright Pink 5 1/4″ square & the Green 5 1/4″ square which will create FOUR (4) Split-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
