Vermont Maple Leaf Quilt Block
Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Dk. Green: Cut ONE (1) 4 1/2″ square. (This is the center of this quilt block.)
- Green: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/2″ squares. (These will flank the Dk. Green 4 1/2″ square on ONE (1) side & on ONE (1) other side they’ll flank the White 4 1/2″ square.)
- Green: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the Green 4 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. ONE (1) of these will be the lower left-hand corner of this quilt block & ONE (1) other will be the upper right-hand corner of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 4 1/2″ squares. (These will be the lower left-hand & the upper right-hand corner’s of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 4 7/8″ squares. On the back side of each square, draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Green 4 7/8″ squares which will create FOUR (4) Half-Square Triangles. ONE (1) of these will be the lower left-hand corner of this quilt block & ONE (1) other will be the upper right-hand corner of this quilt block.)
