Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Tan: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 3 7/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- Tan: Cut ONE (1) 7 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles. (These are flanked by the results of the White
3 7/8″ squares, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.) - White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. On the back side of each square, draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Tan 3 7/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut FOUR (4) 3 7/8″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. You’ll end up with TWO (2) triangles. (These will flank the results of the Tan 7 1/4″ square, which will create FOUR (4) Flying Geese, as needed for this quilt block.)
