Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (scant 1/4″ seam allowance):
- Blue: Cut FOUR (4) 2 7/8″ squares. (These are paired with the White 2 7/8″ squares which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help create the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- Blue: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, TWO (2) times. You’ll end up with FOUR (4) triangles per square. (These will flank the White 3 3/8″ square which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square. They’ll also help create the center of this quilt block.
- Teal: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/2″ x 4 7/8″ rectangles. (These are paired with the results of the White 2 7/8″ squares, which will create EIGHT (8) Snowball Corners, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 1/2″ squares. (These will flank the results of the Blue 2 7/8″ squares. They’ll also help create the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut TWO (2) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These are paired with the Blue 2 7/8″ squares which will create EIGHT (8) Half-Square Triangles. They’ll also help create the FOUR (4) corner’s of this quilt block.)
- White: Cut EIGHT (8) 2 7/8″ squares. On the back side draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time. (These will flank the Teal 2 1/2″ x 4 7/8″ rectangles, which will create EIGHT (8) Snowball Corners, as needed for this quilt block.)
- White: Cut ONE (1) 3 3/8″ square. (This will be flanked by the results of the Blue 2 7/8″ squares which will create ONE (1) Square in a Square. It’ll also be the center of this quilt block.)
