Flashback Tuesday: A Mizzou Story for Dr. Weagley — 3 Comments

  1. In reference to your health issues, I, like you, have had many years of ill health, strange issues unexplained, various diagnosis, eventually proven wrong, culminating in a week on life support, and finally getting to see the right Dr. who ordered the right test………..a simple blood test to establish the state of immune system…….cheap and simple test, which changed my life. Primary Immune Deficiency Disease, whereby body does not produce IGA, G, M etc. causing multiple autoimmune diseases………….worth a try to see if the subsequent transfusions may help you with your struggle. It took 65 years to get my proper diagnosis! In the interium, may God Bless you and your family. And keep quilting……….enjoyed your site!

  2. Thanks for enjoying my blog and commenting! I have already been tested for that and I, too, have immune deficiency syndrome – right along with MS. The wonderful immunologist I saw, however, said I may have the syndrome per my blood test but I do not have any of the normal symptoms of the disease (mostly no recurring infections). She said it was not worth it to get the gamma globulin infusions since I don’t fit any of the parameters of the syndrome outside of my blood test. At this point, I am seeing a MARC neurologist (MARC = Medical Arts & Research Center) and she took a couple of gallons of my blood, to test it for every other autoimmune disease known. I go back and see her for the results next week and although no one would WANT to find out they have another autoimmune disease, I pray she has answers…and that we can figure out a treatment plan that will help stop the MS lesions as well as any other underlying problems.

  3. You still crack me up! Thanks for being in my life. – Dr. Weagley
