Chip Basket Quilt Block

Cutting Requirements for 12″ finished block (precise 1/4″ seam allowance):

  • Color #1: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/4″ square. On the back side draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • Color #2: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/4″ square. On the back side draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • Color #3: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/4″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • Color #3: Cut TWO (2) 3 1/4″ squares. On the back side of each square draw a diagonal line, corner-to-corner, ONE (1) time.
  • Tan: Cut ONE (1) 3 1/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles.
  • Tan: Cut ONE (1) 8″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles but you only need ONE (1) of them for this quilt block.
  • White: Cut SEVEN (7) 3 1/4″ squares. Then cut the squares diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles per square.
  • White: Cut TWO (2) 2 3/4″ x 7 3/4″ strips.
  • White: Cut ONE (1) 5 3/4″ square. Then cut the square diagonally, corner-to-corner, ONE time. You will end up with TWO (2) triangles but you only need ONE (1) of them for this quilt block.
